LOCATION: General: Huron Street is the continuation of the main downtown street, Ontario Street, after it crosses the bridge over the Avon. We are in the first block over the river. We are immediately adjacent to St. Joseph's R.C. Church. Huron Street is also Highway 7-8, so coming in from the west (from Sarnia, Port Edward, Bluewater bridge from USA) you pass our house on the left as you near downtown. If you pass St. Joseph's Church on the left, you have gone too far.
From Detroit / London Follow Highway 401 from the bridge or tunnel at Detroit / Windsor. Exit the 401 at exit 222 (Embro Road). Go north. Embro Road comes directly to Stratford. It meets highway 7-8 at a crossroads. Go right towards Stratford. You will come to Ontario Street, a major intersection downtown. Take a left. At the end of this block Ontario Street crosses the Avon River and becomes Huron. We are in the first block of Huron, on your right, after St Joseph's Church.
From Toronto Follow the 401 to Kitchener/Waterloo, the Highway 7-8 exit. The exit is signposted to Stratford. Follow 7-8 through the village of Shakespeare. Highway 7-8 becomes Ontario Street, the main downtown street in Stratford. Ontario Street ends at a large ornate building, the court house. It veers right over the Avon River and becomes Huron Street. We are in the first block of Huron, next to St. Joseph's, on your right.
