Stratford - a great place to eat. Stratford is the proud home to a Chef's School of long standing and growing repute. We are blessed with several world-class restaurants which are or have been associated with the Chef's School. In addition many newer restaurants have been opened with Chef's School grads as chef. It seems you cannot visit the smallest hole-in-the-wall without finding excellent food. There is a farm nearby which specialises in organic vegetables and unusual produce which gives the chefs increased scope for their imagination in developing menu items to tempt our palate. This list features restaurants which we go to and like. We have concentrated on restaurants close to our B&B. DOWN THE STREET BAR AND RESTAURANT 30 Ontario St. 273-5886 Funky bar-restaurant, serves draught beer and gourmet food! Hang out for everyone from students to the occasional festival person. Our favourite place for a late-night snack and a bottle of wine: BONUS- it is a three minute walk from our B&B so we don't need a designated driver.
